The first photo is better in clarity but is off in color. The second shows the color better but is a poor photo.

Child play
Custom order.
This painting challenged me in a way that I have never been challenged before. I found that getting the expression right on the child's face was something that I worked on and worked on and then reworked again.
The order was for a 10 x 10 inch painting but I was unable to get the size requested and painted it as a 12 x 12 for the same price.

Blue crystal chandelier
This chandelier was a custom order. Glitzy aged gold in the background and a blue gem twinkles in the eye.
The painting was supposed to be done on a smaller canvas and it wasn't until I was layers into the texturizing and aging that I realized I had started it on a 30 x 30. Much larger.
The client was so kind and was fine with my size mix up.
Since I had quoted the price on the smaller canvas that is what we stuck with.

Weathered ''tchaker"
Another scrap from the junk pile. This piece of wood was so weathered and was just begging for a country scene.
Boy inspired, Ethan inspired and for him.
Not for sale
Ethan claimed it, hugged it, put it on the floor and stomped on it declaring, "tchaker, tchaker!" with glee.
It now sits in the play room as well.

owls garden
A little time permitted a little painting.
After the last painting I was rather exhausted and wanted to do something simple.
Kaitlyn claimed it immediately and marched off to her room with it.

Crystal
A hint of whimsy and a bit of bling.
The little bird has a crystal twinkle in its eye.
A small gem glistens when the light hits it and gives this painting a little element of surprise.
This is actually one of the largest paintings I have done in a while and measures 36 x 48 inches.
